A terabit capacity passive polymer optical backplane based on a novel meshed waveguide architecture
Resulted in PSIAC project (GBP127k + GBP168k from industry, 2010-2012) being funded as part of the CIKC (EP/H00274X/1) and OICFutures (RG61250, GBP150k, start May 2013) project funding by Dow Corning. The research contributed to Dow Corning's decision to commercialise the optoelectronic polymer material used in the research - ID_in_audit_file@dowcorning.com. Resulted in invited papers at Photonics West 2009 (San Jose) and 2012 (San Francisco). Resulted in Penty being invited to organise Technologies for Short Reach Optical Interconnects workshop at ECOC2013 (http://www.ecoc2013.org/workshop-proposals.html#ws4) and to present short course tutorial at IEDM12 (Seattle)
