Additional information

Richardson devised and organised the conference that led to the publication of this blind peer-reviewed volume, co-edited with Mary Hollingsworth. Richardson was also sole author on the essay of Francesco Piccolomini, which presents a new way of understanding an important patron's activities and reconstructs a previously unrecognised renaissance chapel in the heart of Rome. The essay is based on archival research in two often unconnected cities, Rome and Siena. As a result complementary material in two archives has been previously overlooked. Most of the essays in the book combine archival, primary and secondary sources and present new material.
