The Companion brings together a group of highly distinguished authors who were all asked to present a theme in the light of global approaches. As editor, I did not personally know all of the contributors, but chose several of them because of their specialist field. It took six years of editorial work and communication to make the contributions come in and cohere to produce outstanding quality and yet to remain concise in presentation.
