This paper was presented at the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction, and Facilities Management. This research uncovers salient aspects of dwellings that influence the rate of turnover among dwellers engendered by their dissatisfaction with certain dwelling features. It reveals dwelling aspects that appeal to its urban young and poor occupants. Similar application from this work was used by Abdul-Rahman, et al, (2012). J. Perform. Constr. Facil., ASCE, (Oct. 25, 2012), and identify types of defects in affordable housing and to raise the quality of housing stock in Malaysia
