Acceptance of papers for the Annual Meeting of CIRP is prestigious, highly-competitive and always looks for short papers that couple new concepts to practical design and application. Here, major NSFC grants (see paper for details) provided six relevant PhD studentships and helped fund two short visits to China and six to UK. Industry spin-out is currently being led by Tianjin University (contact Prof. Huang, tianhuang@tju.edu.cn for latest details).
