Additional information

Entwistle initiated and jointly edited the book, and in addition is joint author for one chapter. This is the first edited collection to examine models as cultural objects. Its range and depth is unique: from historical to sociological analysis of different markets to issues of gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity it directs attention on multiple aspects of their work. Her jointly authored chapter makes a significant intervention into debates initiated by ANT by extending Labour to examine culture -a concept ANT tends to dismiss or ignore. It develops a unique way of thinking about models and, by extension, cultural artefacts.
