Additional information

This work advances spintronics. In collaboration with Toshiba (s.holmes@crl.toshiba.co.uk), and the universities of Technical University of Denmark, Nanjing, China, Copenhagen University, Denmark and Cambridge, new hybrid spintronic structures are developed that demonstrate the growth of novel half-metallic magnetic materials on semiconductors with advanced molecular beam epitaxial. This was fundamental to the creation of Bostech Ltd (daxin.niu@ibostech.com). With the materials developed in this work, Toshiba has developed a proto-type Spin-LED device for future photo-electronics.
