Additional information
This paper was the first attempt to enable Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN) to operate in meshed configuration and improve the performance of the WPAN and develop new applications. This paper summaries the 5 years EU project “MAGNET” and “MAGNET Beyond” ( 2004-2008) “http://uk.nec.com/en_GB/emea/about/neclab_eu/projects/magnet.html”, the largest IP projects which includes 34 partners (EU, USA, Far East). In this paper we proposed a solution for the added functionality of routing in meshed PANs, optimization of multi-interfaces and channels, improve the channel selection, transmitted power control and security aspect for meshing PANs.
