Additional information

Transmit diversity systems for terrestrial broadcast systems were developed and tested in laboratory. It was shown that there is significant performance improvement when transmit diversity is used for terrestrial broadcast DVB-T systems. As a result an increased focus of research going on in Europe on broadband systems has occurred. As a result of this and other related research, Prof. John Cosmas was appointed associate editor to IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, and this increased international attention on research conducted in Europe in the area of broadband communications and a major IEEE annual conference BMSB-2013 was held at Brunel University, Uxbridge, UK.
