Additional information

One of several papers reporting on the EPSRC MC² project (EP/E034578/1), it focuses on the technical outcomes which were informed by Cambridge Imaging Systems: an online metadata user community powered by an MPEG-7 profile optimised for ‘everyday users’ which was found to be more effective and efficient than existing metadata tools. The paper led to the MC² framework being applied to personalization and gaming, resulted in a 2013 special issue on collaboration and gaming in Multimedia Tools and Applications, and led to Agius and Angelides being appointed in the USA as editors of the forthcoming IEEE Handbook of Digital Games
