Additional information

<17> This paper introduces a technique for the first time that enables to automatically detect bird tonal vocalisations in noisy environments. It also provides feature representation that showed significant performance advantages over the current state-of-the-art for bird recognition. Part of this work was performed for Biocensus (SME in Midlands), under INDEX grant. This work has led to collaboration with the Ohio State University (USA) and to discussions for commercial exploitation with Biocensus (UK), Agant (UK), Rydell Consulting (Sweden).
