An innovative approach for generation of a time location plan in road construction projects
This output presents the results of a 7 year collaborative project (2004 – 2010) with Mota-Engil, a multinational company based in Portugal (http://www.mota-engil.pt/, contact Serafim Castro, Serafim@mota-engil.pt). Publication was delayed for reasons of commercial confidentiality. This work has allowed improved cost and time predictions in the company’s construction projects in Europe. It has also formed the basis of a number of new projects and developments, including projects with Ryder Architecture (UK) in the application of Building information modelling (BIM) to buildings and civil engineering projects (p.barker@bimacademy.com) and others, as described in one of our impact case studies.
