Additional information

100 word statement for an edited book where the researcher has made a demonstrable contribution to the research published

In addition to writing the Introduction and introducing the concept of “the experiencer”, I was the steering editor of the team shaping this collaborative project arising from the IFTR ‘Intermediality in Theatre and Performance’ working group. In particular, I conceived – and oversaw the realisation of – a new kind of hybrid book, at once accessible and scholarly. As explained in “How to Approach This Book” (pp. 9-11), a structure was required which articulated and mobilised the group’s working model, namely a dynamic network in formation. The steering editorial function thus went beyond that typically involved in a collection of essays.
