Double-weighted statement

Building on the findings of a dozen recent research projects, and four years in gestation, this monograph sets out a major new theoretical framework for undertaking research in music education, therapy and psychology. It is a work of considerable complexity, drawing as it does on diverse epistemologies from the arts and social sciences. At its heart, Applied Musicology involves the phenomenological analysis of around 100 instances of everyday musical engagement and interaction. These qualitative strands are drawn together quantitatively within novel frameworks of probabilistic modelling.
