Matthew Reason was co-editor of this publication, sharing 50/50 responsibility with Dee Reynolds for the processes of designing the structure of the book, selecting material for inclusion and working with contributors on the editorial process. The introduction and conclusion to the publication were co-authored by Reynolds and Reason on an equal basis. Reason sole authored the section introductions to Parts III and IV and also sole authored Chapter 12: Photography and the Representation of Kinesthetic Empathy.
