Additional information

The synthesis of industrially relevant zeolite catalysts in an efficient and sustainable manner is of great importance in terms of both the financial and environmental costs to the chemical industry. This study describes an innovative approach to zeolite synthesis using minimal reagents. The initial research involved a collaboration with the University of British Columbia (Prof. Colin Fyfe) with a joint research student and has since led to funding from the University of St Andrews (£20K) for a joint PhD studentship and an application for further funding from the Leverhulme Trust.
