Additional information

This research was a collaborative project between Staffordshire University and the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India. It was part of a continuous theme of power electronics for the renewable energy systems by considering the issues related to the grid integration of a particular type of a wind generator. This paper demonstrates how an energy storage system including the control system can be integrated to control the power exchange between the grid and the windfarm.
