Additional information

The Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics accepts submissions by invitation only. This is the first journal publication to present a cohesive picture of how cavitation phenomena, if properly controlled, can yield enhanced therapeutic outcomes, and to relate these enhancements to theoretical and modelling developments pioneered in Prof. Roy's laboratory. Professor Roy received the 2011 Helmholtz-Rayleigh Silver Medal of the Acoustical Society of America, in great part for the work reported in this paper.
