Additional information

The design and engineering of a novel polymer to improve biocompatibility of the anti-cancer agent adenovirus is described in this leading drug delivery journal. The technology now underpins patent US 2011/0243939A1 being exploited by Oxford University SME spin out PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd (http://www.psioxus.com/). The work was supported by an interdisciplinary EU FP6 (LSHB-CT-2004-512087) that included collaborators from the Czech Republic, Germany, Holland and Sweden. Selected for oral presentation at two major gene and cell therapy conferences (Edinburgh, 2008) and Gene Delivery Symposium (Cold Spring Harbour, USA 2008).
