Additional information

A fundamental step in ultrawideband communication system design involves models of the indoor propagation channel. This work demonstrates that the UWB propagation channel parameters can be adequately predicted by employing ray tracing simulation carried out with a reduced information set. A parallel ray approximation is used to improve the computational efficiency of the ray tracing based method by an order of magnitude . This work led to EU funding under the Marie Curie Fellowship scheme (Tiberi, IEF - Marie Curie fellowship 219493 - Humanity), hosted at Oxford.
