Additional information

This work led to a new PhD research studentship (fully funded by EMPA/Sacac Ltd) at Cambridge to extend the understanding to CFRP prestressed concrete systems. The paper reviewers commented “This is an excellent paper ...”, "... this paper is a valuable contribution to composites testing science.” (Journal Editor: Michael Wisnom, ID_in_audit_file@bristol.ac.uk). The work was also the subject of knowledge exchange with Russell Gentry (Georgia Tech), the co-chair for a new ASTM method for the shear testing of FRP tendons. Dr Paul Scott has gone on to a successful career in Engineering consultancy.
