<20> An early version of this paper was shortlisted for the best paper award in the IEEE CSCWD 2008 conference. Our results show significant improvement in performance of user tasks when systems are redesigned according to user-centred requirements, as evidenced by the application of the proposed approach in a local ICT company, bit-01. Due to the effectiveness of this approach, it was also adopted by another company, v-viz, Machine Vision Solutions/Webwerx Ltd (Contact: Mr T Cichowicz, tomasz.cichowicz@webwerx.pl). The deployment of the approach in this company led to an improved system which saved time in performing daily tasks.
