Additional information

This paper was produced as an output from an EPSRC funded project ‘In-situ Measurement of Moisture Content Profiles within Building Envelopes’ (EP/C002229/1). It successfully demonstrated the practical applications of time domain Reflectometry as a technique for in-situ monitoring of building materials. This publication has led to subsequent research work has been developed which include the utilisation of this measurement technique. Current ongoing projects include an FP7 project ’Climate for Culture’ and work with Historic Scotland and Glasgow City Council on ‘The Pre-1919 Pilot Project’.
