This was the first paper to report polymer nanocomposites with significantly improved properties to commercial laser sintering powders, without compromising elongation at break. The work led to collaborative projects with BMW ( Frank Woellecke - Frank.Woellecke@bmw.de), and the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan (murakami.hideyuki@nims.go.jp).
