Additional information

This work led to the design and first demonstration of sub 30 nm resolution scanning thermal probe by integration of carbon nanotubes in the design of scanning thermal probe. This also cemented a successful collaboration between Durham, Lancaster and St Petersburg (Russia), sanction by several joint publications. The fabrication and analytical platform developed and its potential for application to semiconductor nanowires formed the basis for the award of the prestigious Senior Research fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering/Leverhulme Trust for 2013-14.
