Additional information

The experimental method described here made possible the measurements of the nonlinear thermal field in a thermoacoustic refrigerator presented in Berson et al., Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer, 54 (2011). To our knowledge, this is the only method that allows to measure accurately temperature harmonics, i.e. small-amplitude temperature fluctuations (less than 0.5K) at a relatively high frequency (ca. 1000Hz), in an oscillating flow.
