Additional information

Detonation nanodiamonds are materials which are available in high volume and they are commercially very cheap. Diamond is known to be the best thermal conductor and it is known that nanofluids show enhanced thermal conductivities when compared to micron sized particles, therefore leading ultimately to the best thermal conductor in fluids. This work studied for the first time the thermal conductivity of nanodimonds dispersed in deionised water and compared this to the various models of thermal conductivity in the literature. The research demonstrated thermal conductivity which is better than that from other carbon nanomaterials.
