Additional information

* The first work to show how current ripple can be evaluated in multiphase systems using polygon approach, which corresponds to delta approach in three-phase systems.

* Significant since (i) it shows that the correct results are obtained if and only if all possible polygon connections of a multiphase system are encompassed by the analysis, and (ii) establishes unique correlation between space vector approach and polygon approach in current ripple evaluation for multiphase PWM inverter-fed systems.

* Of importance to drive designers and users, since it enables simple efficiency derating factor evaluation due to the inverter supply.
