Additional information

This is the first published research to use leukocyte reactivity as an objective index of cognitive workload, in this case to assess ergonomic development via extensive human trials, undertaken in a controlled environment collaborating with University of Oxford and funded by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Ltd. (Mr S Paszkowicz, HMI Specialist Advanced Driver Controls and Displays Team, spaszkow@jaguarlandrover.com). The project has led to continued JLR-sponsored industrial collaboration and PhD funding (£120,000). This research has been used as part of a successful bid to secure further funding for a multi-faculty/disciplinary human factors research group; current industrial collaborators include MIRA, Bentley, SAIC.
