Additional information

<26>Due to its complex structure the quality management of MPEG transport streams is a complicated task and identifying the degree of coding degradations and/or transmission errors is an important criterion for the broadcast community. This paper proposes an embedded and programmable solution capable of analysing MPEG streams (audio, video and system components) in real time. This is a collaborative research with Nancy University (France) through a funded project (Project EQUAST funded by RNRT funding body - Réseau National de Recherche en Télécommunications, France, 2008) leading to a further collaboration with Metz University and funding from Television de France (TDF).
