<06>This research work used multi-criterion optimization to enhance energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks. Part of the work led to a research contract between the author (N Aslam) and Atlantic Canada Innovations Fund (AIF) sponsored projects on Petroleum Applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (27K CAD, 2010). The research led to an invited keynote talk in IEEE sponsored conference ICICT (Karachi, Pakistan) 23-24 July, 2011. A follow-up related work led to an invitation to write a chapter in a book titled "Smart Wireless Sensor Networks", INTECH Publishers, ISBN No. 978-953-307-261-6.
