Additional information

<05> JSAC is one of the highest-ranked journals in data communications. Presents discipline-hopping research on power grids that was the first to identify an isomorphism between network buffers and batteries, with the potential to significantly reduce carbon footprints in intermittent energy supply (e.g. solar photovoltaic, wind turbines) by better matching supply and demand. With over 1,100 downloads since publication, this research has had a major influence on mitigating power grid failures (Rosenberg, Keshav, U. Waterloo) and scheduling deferrable charging demand for plug-in electric vehicles (Kesidis, Penn State); has also impacted on the analysis and management of cache networks (Rosensweig, U. Massachusetts).
