Additional information

This paper describes a new method for fabricating anti-reflecting surfaces with the lowest ever reflectance at large angles of incidence over the whole visible spectrum. This is significant because when applied to solar cells, such performance greatly enhances their efficiency. The methods developed also lend themselves to the manufacture of large-area solar cells and the fabrication capability developed contributed to the award of a £6.4M EPSRC Programme grant (EP/I012591/1).
