Britain, Ireland, and Continental Europe in the Eighteenth Century: Similarities, Connections, Identities

This research output merits double-weighting because it represents the collection and analysis of a considerable body of material and the use of primary sources that were especially extensive. It also presents an argument dependent upon the completion of a lengthy period of date collection. Chapter 6, on ‘Religious Ties’, is based substantially on material published in the English Historical Review (which forms a separate item in my REF submission), and should therefore be excluded from consideration for double-weighting.
