Double-weighted statement

My book American History through Hollywood Film: From the Revolution to the 1960s (Bloomsbury Press) is proposed for double weighting because it brings together in one volume issues I have been thinking about and researching for many years. It is a substantial work, analysing a very broad range of films and considerable reception material, to demonstrate how filmic representations of many issues in US history have evolved over a considerable period of time. It also explores the broader context in which such films were produced and the wider political, social, and cultural questions these filmic representations have raised.
