Additional information

This work presents a Finite Element modelling analysis applied to the eyeball coats to model the elastic moduli and to determine the optimal range of properties for image stability on the retina. The reach of this work is broad as it applies modelling tool used in engineering to the optics of the eye and introduces a new way of assessing optical function; the significance is on vision science and optical engineering in the production of new ways of measuring intraocular pressure.
