Additional information

Output from an EU Framework funded project (AQUA-STEW ref: EVK1-CT2000-00066) involving collaborators in Ireland, France, Germany and the UK. The author made a substantial contribution to the conception and design of the study and to the analysis and interpretation of the study data, as well as substantial editorial input into the final paper. This work was extended by the development of new modalities at Kingston University, based on ultrasound rather than light, which led to formation of a spin-out company, UltraDrop Ltd, in 2009, supported by BP and LGC.
