Additional information

This paper is part of a series of 27 papers published on the mathematical modelling of the waste incineration by SUWIC. The work was funded by Yorkshire Water and addressed a seriously neglected area of scientific research resulting in fundamental understanding of the dynamic behaviour of sludge incineration in large scale bubbling fluidised bed incinerators in relation to feeding rate variation. The results obtained from the study are currently being used by the Yorkshire Water to formulate strategies for optimising operation and developing new control systems for UK’s sewage sludge incinerator plants operated by the Water Industry.
