This work reviewed a UK park homes production company. It compared the factory method to traditional on-site construction methods. Empirical studies of production times and analysis of the current workload distribution and process flow performance were carried out. Conclusions and recommendations were made, these were then implemented. The impact due to this cost savings outcome resulted in the survival of a company that previously was becoming financially unviable. The company involved wishes to stay anonymous for commercial reasons.
