This paper is aimed at Small to Medium Enterprises (SMES) and other relevant organisations considering the adoption of technologies to improve businesses. Through the analysis of 32 companies involved in the e-business adoption initiative funded by European Regional Development Fund, this paper evaluates change models that SMEs adapted in the implementation of internet technologies. This paper supports companies in technology adoption process as it provides methodology to be followed, change management approaches and barriers to overcome for competitive advantage and emphasises the role of learning of SMEs in their technology adoption. This paper has been cited by 9 international publications.
