Additional information

This represents recent development in an on-going research programme investigating the how physical school environment relates to teaching and learning, our research over nearly a decade.  This research began with a commissioned review (Higgins, S., Hall, E., Wall, K., Woolner, P., McCaughey, C. (2005) The Impact of School Environments: A literature review. London: Design Council.), plus empirical studies of change and further evidence reviews. Work influential both nationally and internationally, with academics in Europe, US and Australia referring to it and developing their own research through reference to this body of research (Gislason, 2010, in Learning Environments Research).
