<20> This work delves into the key elements that make playgrounds compelling for children in order to inform playful interaction in HCI. A novel framework is developed and then applied to the design of a specific installation to develop and analytic tool for future use. INTERACT is a well-established international HCI conference, ranked 15th of 167 HCI conferences by Microsoft Academic. The acceptance rate for full papers was 28% in 2011.
