<20> A full paper in the proceedings of the ICMPC - the foremost international forum for the work of several international societies for the cognitive sciences of music. The paper examines the use of music to enhance user experience/arousal levels during game play and is the first to apply audio analysis algorithms to classify game music in terms of arousal and valence levels. The result is a new model for examining acoustical properties of music against its beneficial effects upon the health and wellbeing of the user during game play.
