<23>Originality: presents a hippocampus segmentation method using a new voting technique for the fusion strategy of multiple solutions. Significance: The accurary results reported for the automatic segmentation of the hippocampus are the current state-of-the-art. This work is now included in several commercial clinical trials Phase 2 and 3 assessing new drugs in Alzheimer’s disease. It has also been licensed to a company. Rigour: the segmentation tool has been tested on the largest database publicly available on-line, with over 1,000 scans with up to 5 timepoints.
