Additional information

<22> This paper addresses how to link internal processes and external stimuli in cognitive architectures using an affect model of control. Work uses cognitive architecture developed by Davis in simulation test-beds and points to its use in robots (as reported in output 4). Paper addresses important issue of perceptual symbol use, and proposition ordering, in a Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) model using an affect model. BDI model is based on psychological model of children’s reasoning about belief. Paper authored by Davis based on ten years of individual research. Contributes to research theme on Cognitive Science and Cognitive Robotics.
