Additional information

<26>My co-authors, in collaboration with researchers from IMPA in Brazil, have extended the results of the paper from families of abstract curves to families of curves embedded on surfaces. Their curves have the same provable continuity properties as the original, and the same natural arc-length parameterisation. They extend the original work in a direction that is commonly required by modern 3D Computer Aided Design systems. This extension was published in J. Estrada-Sarlabous, V. Hernández-Mederos, D. Martínez-Morera and L. Velho. "Subdivision de courbes sur les surfaces avec contrôle de la longueur d’arc." Revue Électronique Francophone d’Informatique Graphique, 2010.
