Additional information

The book originated in two events that took place in Oxford in the autumn of 2010 and in January 2011 and that were linked by their common theme of ‘priests and seers in the religious cultures of the Roman world’, namely a research seminar series preceding and preparing an annual Oxford-Princeton graduate workshop and a one-day-colloquium at which further international scholars presented their work on the topic. Dignas organized both events together with Professors Parker and Stroumsa and presented the paper rewritten and included as Chapter 4. The editing process was shared equally between the three co-editors.
