This paper contributes to the practical application of resonators and filters. Funded by SEMTECH Ltd, (dhunt@semtech.com) a world leader in the supply of high-quality analogue and mixed-signal semiconductor products, the work produces balanced and unbalanced resonators for oscillators and filters which are off chip and very close to the integrated circuit while taking up very little additional space and offering screened high Q responses. This pioneering technology was demonstrated at the Royal Academy of Engineering 2013 Summer Soiree exhibition.
