Additional information

This paper presents the first use of Bayesian Networks to couple physical, chemical and ecological modelling into a unified and simple-to-use model to support integrated catchment management, funded by the Environment Agency. A reviewer stated "This paper makes an excellent and meaningful contribution ... a novel contribution in an emerging field". A linked paper (in Water and Environment Journal) which reviews whether such models can realistically be implemented was commended in the journal's 2011 paper awards.
