Additional information

“The paper presents a promising methodology for the standardization of information for application of delay-time analysis to maintenance and inspection department, along with the application of the methodology to a case study of a factory producing carbon black which demonstrates the practicality of the proposed technique” (Reviewer reports from Assistant Managing Editor, Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering). The research was conducted in collaboration with Cabot-Carbon (Technical Manager, Cabot-Carbon). “This is one of a few fuzzy set modelling-based maintenance assessments whose applicability has been practically demonstrated in process system maintenance/inspection planning” (Technical Manager, Cabot-Carbon).
